About Us

Faking Sanity is Dawson Creek’s newest used bookstore and coffee/tea house (we also serve lunch from 10-2). Books are our passion and caffeine is our addiction!

With over 10,000 books in stock, over 30 types of premium loose leaf teas (Steeps and Faking Sanity custom blends) and an assortment of Kicking Horse coffees/lattes (and other European-style drinks), as well as flavoured hot chocolates and steamers, there’s something for everyone. And of course, no coffee/tea house is complete without an assortment of baked goods, such as our decadent gluten-free cheesecake or our sumptuous carrot cake. All our food is fresh and homemade, as well as organic and locally-sourced whenever possible.

We also sell a variety of gifts for the tea or coffee lover, such as French presses, tea infusers, travel mugs, honey sticks, and of course coffee (whole bean or ground to order) and loose-leaf tea. We now stock the most adorable Shagwear wallets, as well as Namaste “vegan leather” bags and other knitting accessories, including light-weight yarns and a variety of needles.

We host many events (such as Coffee Houses, knitting classes, game nights, weekly craft nights, etc) and showcase the work of local artists throughout the year.
